Heyaa, I'm Jamie and have been staying in Yogjakarta on Java for about a month now - I've still got a month to go! :) Teaching English is my main job here at a college in Jogja, but I also do lots of other stuff like proofreading and just general guidance - I love it! The staff are all so friendly and helpful and everyone I meet - whether at the school or just on the streets - is so nice. The area in Jogja (as it's known here) is great - there's a mix of modern and old like most cities, so you get the best of both worlds. A piece of advice to anyone reading would be to just have a go at everything you can - try not to stay in too much and just get out there and meet people! Also don't be afraid to try new food - there are so many street stalls everywhere with so much different food, I still haven't got round to trying everything! I can't thank Internship-Indonesia enough for organising all this for me - so far it's all been just amazing; I wish I didn't have to go back to uni in September!! :) Cheers!
