Let me share some of my thoughts, now that my experience in Indonesia is close to 8 full weeks. I work as a guest teacher in an Indonesian High school. It’s a mind opening experience to talk with people 10 years younger than you, curious about everything. Questions vary from “How does the pig taste like, Miss?” to “Is it possible to make Finance and Marketing departments get along?”
And my curiosity is as big as theirs. For my East European eyes everything is exotic and different. Not everything feels like paradise, but I can say that my mind was never so active and my heart so happy. I am in love with the taste of fruits and with the genuine inner beauty of people. But most of all I love the stories behind each way of doing/saying a thing. The meaning is still alive to be shared.
